Avadina Hills by Anantara, a luxury residential development by Minor International (MINT) and Kajima Development (Kajima), has been named Best Luxury Housing Development (Phuket) and Best Housing Development (Thailand) at the recent PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards in Bangkok.

Now in its 14th year, the annual PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards is the Kingdom’s longest-running and most respected real estate awards programme.

Avadina Hills by Anantara is the second branded residential project under Anantara, MINT’s award-winning luxury brand, in Phuket. With an approximate total sale value of THB 3.5 billion, the development is a 50:50 joint venture partnership between MINT and Kajima, a unit of Kajima Corporation, a construction and real estate development company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The 11 villas, to be completed in 2020 in 100 rai (40 acres) of forested hillsides above Layan Beach, vary in size from 2,642 to 3,390 square metres. Each will feature between four and ten bedrooms, a private infinity pool and 180-degree views of the Andaman Sea. Owners and guests at Avadina Hills by Anantara benefit from the year-round management and in-residence services offered by the adjacent Anantara Layan Phuket Resort, as well as access to its five-star facilities.

“We are proud to have Avadina Hills by Anantara recognised amongst the best in the industry,” said Micah Tamthai, Vice President, Real Estate for Minor International. “These awards affirm the reputation of MINT as a luxury real estate developer, and pave the way for more opportunities with our joint venture partner Kajima.”

“It is indeed an honour to receive these accolades from our industry peers,” added Koichiro Hiroishi, Managing Director, Bang Tao Beach Ltd., a unit of Kajima. “We are confident that together with MINT, our combined experience and expertise will continue to drive a positive growth outlook for both companies.”

Looking to the future, MINT has committed significant new investment to strengthen its presence in Phuket. Amongst the planned addition to its current portfolio of resort, residence and mixed-use assets in Phuket are new spa and wellness, boating and dining facilities.
